Stargate TV supremo Robert C. Cooper will be showrunning Generation Mars, based on the book series by Douglas D. Meredith.

The co-creator of the two SG-1 spinoffs – Atlantis and Universe – will be overseeing the 10 episode initial season which follows 12 year-old Cas, who is famous in two worlds, as a true Martian and the first human being born on Mars. THR does not indicate whether the proposed series has a commitment from any network as yet.
