A fresh live action of the anime series Speed Racer is heading to Apple TV+ courtesy of Bad Robot.

The series will be penned by Hiram Martinez and Ron Fitzgerald, and go back to the franchise’s roots in the Japanese manga series Mach GoGoGo, rather than the various animated and live action incarnations since. According to Deadline, a writers’ room is currently being staffed.
