An American version of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s Inside No. 9 is in development at Amazon Freevee (the new name for IMDb TV).
According to Deadline, “The project, which is in the development stages, comes from Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions” and suggests that the series is “executive produced by Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Angie Stephenson, and Josh Cole.”
Pemberton retweeted the story, noting, “Let the fantasy re-casting begin!”
“We want to do inventive, noisy interesting television and that show is one of one. We hope we can make a version that is worthy of the legacy,” Freevee’s Lauren Anderson noted.
