There’s a swap round of movie releases  in the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year – but conspiracy theorists don’t need to read anything into it.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania moves forward to February 17, 2023, while The Marvels (aka Captain Marvel 2) takes the now vacated July 28. The change has come as the Ant-Man movie is further ahead in the production process.

Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors and Kathryn Newton star in Peyton Reed’s third Ant-Man movie;  Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani lead The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta.
