The third season of Star Trek animated series Lower Decks was previewed at the Mission Chicago convention, with members of the cast appearing in full Starfleet uniform.

A very short teaser and a poster were released for the season that will arrive later in 2022, after the conclusion of Picard and the first season of Strange New Worlds. “There’s gonna be some classic faces… some interesting ships but I don’t want to give too much away. But you will, in the first episode, learn about Boimler’s heritage,” creator Mike McMahon said.
