THR broke the news that the Malignant director has turned his attention to the 1988 novel (not 2015 as THR would suggest) turning it into a half-hour series Teacup, penned by Ian McCulloch for Peacock. The TV version is ” following a disparate group of people on a Texas ranch who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat”; the original book is set in the Texas town of Inferno which has plenty of problems of its own before the arrival of alien spaceships.
