The Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon will launch in August.

The series stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Fabien Frankel. Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno. The 21 August date (on HBO Max; 22 August on Sky Atlantic both simulcast with the US and then in the evening) means it will jump the gun on Prime Video’s big new Lord of the Rings series that begins on September 2.
