Stephen King’s epic tale The Shining might be heading to the stage – with Ben Stiller set to play Jack Torrance, the role made (in)famous by Jack Nicholson.

The play would open in London with a Broadway transfer anticipated, Deadline reports. Ivo van Hove will be directing the adaptation by Simon Stephens. Plans for a theatrical version have been around for some years, but were put on hold during the COVID pandemic shutdowns. Stiller has recently been directing episodes of Apple TV’s Severance.
