Original Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson has signed up for the new Quantum Leap pilot.

Deadline reports that the veteran actor will be playing “Herbert “Magic” Williams, a Vietnam veteran and head of the time travel project at Quantum Leap. Using a bit of politicking and his military know-how to keep the Pentagon at bay, Magic buys the team some time to rescue Ben but expects answers once he’s back.” Raymond Lee is playing Ben Seong, who gets lost in time, and from the description it would appear that Hudson will be playing the equivalent of Dean Stockwell’s Al for the new show.
