Amazon Studios is working with Alcon Entertainment and Ridley Scott on Blade Runner 2099, a live action continuation of the saga begun in Scott’s 1981 movie.
Deadline broke the news that Silka Luisa, showrunner of Apple TV+’s Shining Girls, is writing and exec producing Blade Runner 2099, which Scott stated already had a bible written late last year. The story has continued with Titan Comics’ comics set between the first two movies, and adultswim/Crunchyroll’s Black Lotus series.
