British writer and director Ian Curteis has died aged 86.

Curteis is probably best remembered for his Falklands Play that was originally scheduled for broadcast in 1985 but held back till 2002. His genre contributions include his only cinema movie as director, The Projected Man, as well as helming an episode of Out of the Unknown based on William Trevor’s Walk’s End. As a writer he contributed to Doomwatch.
