British actor Bernard Holley has died aged 81.

Toby Hadoke confirmed the news, with the family’s permission, on social media. Although best known for his work on cop dramas such as Z Cars and The Gentle Touch, Holley was well known to genre fans for his roles as P:eter Haydon on Doctor Who’s The Tomb of the Cybermen and as Axos in The Claws of Axos, both roles he reprised for Big Finish. He also appeared on Out of the Unknown and as the Power Master in The Tripods.
