As part of Disney+ Day, the streamer has announced that it is adapting the fantasy series The Spiderwick Chronicles, written by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black.

The new version is described as a “modern coming-of-age story combined with fantasy adventure” and will once again focus on the Grace family who endeavour to uncover their ancestor’s secrets, and learn about the faerie world that lurks near our own. No producer or writer has yet been mentioned.
