The trailer for Lightyear – the tale of the real Buzz Lightyear’s adventures – has been released by Pixar.
As Pete Docter explained at the Disney Investor Day, “Back when we created the first Toy Story, we designed Buzz Lightyear with the idea that he was a toy based on some really cool character from an epic blockbuster film. Well, all these years later, we decided to make that film.”
Chris Evans voices the character – Tim Allen’s Buzz in the Toy Story films is a toy based on him – and the movie is set to open on June 17, 2022
