Michael B Jordan’s Superman movie has found its writers: Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters will be adapting Val Zod for Outlier Films, with what is described by Deadline as “an unexpected take” on the character’s origin story.

The HBO Max movie is based on the character of Val-Zod a Black Kryptonian who arrives on Earth 2 and becomes that world’s version of Superman. The character was created by Tom Taylor, Nicola Scott and Robson Rocha.
