Lyricist Leslie Bricusse, who penned the words for Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice, has died aged 90.
The news was confirmed by Joan Collins on instagram. As well as the two Bond themes – working with Anthony Newley and John Barry on Goldfinger, and Barry on You Only Live Twice – he wrote the lyrics for the Love Theme from Superman The Movie (aka Can You Read My Mind?), and songs for Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Hook, Doctor Dolittle and Harry Potter and the Philosopher/Sorcerer’s Stone.
