Mondo is releasing expanded suites from Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack for Dune across a triple album of LPs on Wednesday October 13.

Spanning one hundred minutes of music in just nine tracks, the Mondo exclusive pressing splits the expanded score across three coloured vinyl records — one green, one orange, and one brown, representing the three key planets of the Dune franchise, Arrakis, Caladan, and Geidi Prime.

The packaging features artwork by Greg Ruth, with a cover showing off the sandworm, and three gatefold illustrations of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya), and Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård).

The edition is a one-off pressing of 3000 copies, featuring artwork approved by both the composer and director. The tri-fold sleeve is foil stamped with the film’s logo and each copy is numbered.

Mondo note that the album “features all of Hans Zimmer’s typical bombast and deafening drums. These extended cues feature huge swathes of arpeggiated synths, vocal chants and rumbling bagpipes, moods run from ethereal to ominous, wistful to sorrowful and always become huge dramatic, loud and disorientating (sometimes all within the same cue). It truly is an epic for our times, and proves once again Hans Zimmer’s status as one of the world’s greatest living composers.”
