Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Spanish production company Mediacrest have teamed up with Chile’s Maria Woods Productions for a new Mars-based series, Humanity.

Variety broke the news about the show, created by Paula Sánchez, Jorge Hernández and Sergio Cámara. It’s set in 2050 on Mars after the destruction of Earth.

According to Mediacrest’s Alberto Macias, “Ten characters are abandoned on the inhospitable planet of Mars without family, without friends, without resources. They are badly matched, alone in the universe, and the only thing left of the human species. On them falls a mission for which they have never been trained: to secure the survival of the species. But does this species, capable of destroying the planet that hosts them, deserve to survive?”
