An unusual tweet from The Haunting twitter account has led to suggestions that Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass series is underway.

Flanagan confirmed that this did not relate to a third Haunting series (Netflix cancelled the show after the second run), but that he expected to be working with Carla Gugino soon: “I think it’s safe to say we’ll be on set together again soon. Can’t say more… yet.”

If it is Midnight Mass, then the Netflix show, announced in 2019 and originally intended to shoot this time last year, follows a community which experiences miraculous events and frightening omens after a mysterious priest’s arrival.
