J.W. Rinzler, the author of multiple books delving behind the scenes of genre movies, has died aged 58.

Rinzler’s work includes The Making of Star Wars (and separate sequels) and The Complete Indiana Jones, as well as non-Lucasfilm projects on Planet of the Apes and Alien. He worked  at Lucasfilm from 2001 to 2016, becoming executive editor of their publishing arm Lucasbooks. His first novel, All Up, was published last year.
