Neill Blomkamp’s long-gestating sequel to District 9 may move from its South African origin.
Chatting with IGN, Blomkamp revealed that he and his co-writers are looking at a US setting for the new movie, District 10.
“There was a topic in American history that the second I realized that that fit into the world of District 9, it felt like an awesome way to do a sequel. So yeah, it continues to be developed and it’s getting a lot closer.”
Blomkamp is writing the sequel with Sharlto Copley and Terri Tatchell.
