Mogul Mowgli’s Bassam Tariq is being lined up to direct the introduction of vampire hunter Blade into the MCU, according to Deadline.

The site reports that the new movie, starring Mahershala Ali, is shortly heading into preproduction and Marvel executives have been meeting with prospective directors. Stacy Osei-Kuffour has penned the script.

Vampires were mentioned as real in the MCU in a passing comment in the Loki TV series – another piece of Phase 4 foreshadowing.
