Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Amazon Studios has announced that Charles Edwards (The Crown), Will Fletcher (The Girl Who Fell), Amelie Child-Villiers (The Machine) and Beau Cassidy will round out the ensemble cast of its forthcoming Amazon Original series based on The Lord of the Rings, currently shooting in New Zealand.

As yet few details of any characters have been revealed, and no names have been attached to the four new cast members’ roles. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are showrunners on the first season, set during the Second Age of Middle-earth’s history, thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
