You’d think there’d be little new to do with Superman’s origin story – but the most recent episode of Superman & Lois proved that’s not the case.

Partly that’s Tyler Hoechlin’s natural charisma, which sells the truly wholesome side of Kal-El really well, but it also does something that I’ve rarely seen other versions handle better – it shows us Kal-El learning.
