Matthew Robinson is writing Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars movie about Rogue Squadron.

THR broke the news that the co-writer of The Invention of Lying who’s recently worked on the new Little Shop of Horrors movie as well as the Edge of Tomorrow sequel will be scripting the film, the first new Star Wars movie since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. It is set to start filming next year with a proposed Christmas 2023 release date.
