David Oyelowo’s directorial debut, The Water Man, heads to Netflix in July, and the streamer has released a trailer for the fantasy family drama.

Desperate to save his ailing mother, 11-year-old Gunner runs away from home on a quest to find a mythic figure rumoured to have the power to cheat death. Rosario Dawson and Lonnie Chavis star in the movie which premieres on July 9.
