Halloween helmer Rob Zombie is set to direct the new big screen version of The Munsters.

As he notes in his Instagram announcement of the project, Zombie has been trying to do this for two decades.

The Munsters originally ran for 70 episodes in 1964-66. Various movies followed as well as a TV series, and a pilot (Mockingbird Lane).
