N.K. Jemisin will be adapting her own trilogy, The Broken Earth, for Tristar.

The Fifth Season, The Obelisk Gate and The Stone Sky each won the Hugo Award. They are set harsh futuristic Earth and a continent called the Stillness, which endures seasonal apocalyptic events that shake the world and its inhabitants during these “seasons” after which society has to be rebuilt. But at what cost to those who have the power to do so?
