Peacock is working on an adaptation of Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen.

The story is set in an alternate near future where democracy is replaced by a monarchy led by a group of humans with superpowers who rule with an iron fist over those without powers. The series is centred around Mare, a young woman born to poverty who discovers she has powers, catapulting her to become the face of a revolution while searching for answers about her powers.

Beth Schwartz will be showrunner and co-write the script with Aveyard.
