Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of the DC comicbook Naomi has got a series order from the CW.

The series follows a teenage girl (played by Kaci Walfall) as she sets out to uncover the origins of a supernatural event in her hometown, eventually challenging everything she knows about heroes. The original comic book is by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker
