Disney isn’t moving forward with the Star Wars TV show Rangers of the New Republic – at least for now.
Many had assumed this would be the case, after the studio cut ties with Gina Carano, but Variety recently confirmed the news that the series isn’t in active development when noting Dave Filoni’s promotion to Executive Creative Director at Lucasfilm. The series was part of the spin-off universe created around The Mandalorian; the other shows – The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka – are still continuing.

Good. Carano’s character was OK, but she simply can’t act. She always came off like an athlete trying to be an actor, and she had all the range of a coma patient.
