Ewbank’s are offering another rare puppet from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, the masters of Supermarionation, on May 27.

Made by Century 21 sculptor John Brown in the early 1970s using the original moulds, the 17 inch high Joe 90 puppet remains in fine condition and comes in full vintage costume on stand with plaque. It has head and hands cast in resin, with glass eyes and real hair.

John Brown was one of the chief model makers and puppeteers for Joe 90, having worked for Gerry Anderson since the making of the first series of Thunderbirds.

The estimate in Ewbank’s Entertainment, Memorabilia & Movie Props sale is £1,200-1,800.

This follows the major auction of Anderson props and puppets last year.

The Joe 90 puppet can viewed online at http://www.ewbanks.co.uk (click here for the specific page) where there are also details about registering for live online bidding.
