WarnerMedia have backtracked on their decision to make Dune a simultaneous release in cinemas and on HBO Max.
The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September and then roll out into cinemas on October 1 and presumably have the new 45 day window before moving to the streaming service.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard star in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of the Frank Herbert classic.
