There aren’t that many Native American superheroes – but Super Indian has been around for some time, and has now come (back) to audio.
His creator, Arigon Starr, and The Autry’s DeLanna Studi chatted with SFB about the creation and production of the show
Arigon: This show was written for Natives first and if anybody else wants to come along for the ride come on, welcome!
DeLanna: I think that’s what makes it special, I discovered whenever you become specific the story becomes universal. People can see themselves in the characters, they can relate to the family dynamic. They know these people and they don’t have to be Native in order to enjoy it which is what I love about it.
