Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Costume designer Anthony Powell whose work graced movies for decades has died aged 85.

During his long career, he contributed to various genre productions, including Hook and 102 Dalmatians, both of which earned him Oscar nominations. His other work included Friedkin’s Sorcerer, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, Hook, 101 Dalmatians, the 1998 Avengers movie, and The Ninth Gate. He also designed for stage productions including the long-running Sunset Boulevard.
