British actress Helen McCrory has died, aged 52.

Her husband, Damian Lewis, announced that she died this morning after battling cancer.

McCrory’s genre credits include Interview with the Vampire, Frankenstein, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and its two sequels and Penny Dreadful as well as Rosanna Calvieri in the Matt Smith Doctor Who story The Vampires of Venice.
