Today’s new release from Big Finish is a prologue to the Dalek Universe tales, but was originally designed as a standalone tale – and it’s great fun, whether or not you intend to listen to that saga.

Briggs juggles the various threads well and there’s a lovely seam of humour throughout, with some great lines for Tom Baker, Louise Jameson and John Leeson.
