Attack the Block’s Joe Cornish is adapting Mark Millar’s Starlight for 20th Century Studios.

Deadline broke the news regarding the story about “a space hero who saved the universe 35 years ago but when he came back to Earth, no one believed his fantastic stories. He married, had kids and settled into old age, but then his old rocket ship shows up, and he is called back for one fantastic adventure.” Cornish will write and adapt the feature film.

The six issue limited series by Millar with art by Gorlan Parlov was released by Image Comics in 2014; there have been various plans to adapt it before.
