Walter Olkewicz, one of the stalwarts of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, has died aged 72.

In addition to featuring in all the iterations of Lynch’s series as bartender and croupier Jacques Renault – in the most recent, behind the bar as he was no longer able to stand – Olkewicz appeared in the US TV fantasy series Wizards and Warriors with Babylon 5’s Jeff Conaway. His debut was in the 1976 Westworld sequel, Futureworld, and he also appeared in Steven Spielberg’s 1941.
