Special Effects Director Shaun Whittacker-Cook passed away earlier this year, aged 85.
Whittacker-Cook worked with Gerry and Sylvia Anderson on the Supermarionation shows of the 1960s, joining AP Films for Thunderbirds, with credits for three of the 1966 episodes as Special Effects Director. He was Visual Effects Director for Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons and two episodes of UFO; he was Special Effects Director for another 17 UFO instalments. He also directed episodes of Joe 90 and The Secret Service.
He was interviewed for the Filmed in Supermarionation documentary, recalling his time on the shows.
