Paul Ritter, whose genre work included the Harry Potter and 007 series, has died aged 54 from a brain tumour.
The English stage and screen actor was perhaps best known for his work on the comedy Friday Night Dinner. He appeared as Prisoner Louis in Hannibal Rising, as Guy Haines in the Bond film Quantum of Solace, as Eldred Worple in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and as Oliver Reynolds in the BBC’s Dirk Gently. His later work included an episode of Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories, as well as Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams.
