The saga of the American Gods continues to unfold, after producers Fremantle weighed in to confirm Neil Gaiman’s statement yesterday that the show was by no means dead.

“Fremantle is committed to completing the epic journey that is American Gods, one of TV’s most inclusive series with the most amazing fans across the globe,” a spokesperson for the company exclusively told Deadline. “With Neil Gaiman and this fantastic cast and crew, we are exploring all options to continue to tell this magnificent story.”

Starz cancelled the show on Monday but efforts have been ongoing to find a new home; meanwhile, Netflix’s Sandman series is currently filming on Britain’s South Coast.
