Myra Frances, best known to SFB readers for her appearances in Doctor Who and Survivors, has died aged 78.
The news was broken by her widower. Peter Egan, on Twitter.
Frances played Anne Tranter in the first season of Terry Nation’s Survivors, and the Lady Adastra in David Fisher’s Doctor Who serial The Creature from the Pit. Her other TV roles included Hadleigh and Crown Court and in later life she became an ardent campaigner for animal welfare
