Clarke Peters has joined the cast of Showtime’s The Man Who Fell to Earth, set to start shooting soon in London.

According to Deadline, he will play Josiah Falls, patriarch of the Falls family, father of Naomie Harris’ character Justin Falls and a gifted scientist and engineer whose surprising relationship with Chiwetel Ejiofor’s alien brings about the next step in human evolution.

Jimmi Simpson has also been cast in the series based on the original Walter Tevis novel and the 1976 movie.
