A Kickstarter to fund the next comic book set at Devil’s End – as seen in the Doctor Who story The Daemons – has gone live.
After three years in development, several artists, and a worldwide pandemic, issue one is now complete and ready for Doctor Who fans.
Jon Pertwee’s The Daemons is regarded by the production crew and the actors as their favourite story, and the chemistry between the actors and its charming setting is evident when you watch this gem from the Classic Era of Doctor Who. This new adventure of Olive Hawthorne is set after the events of The Daemons and the FCBD 2018 issue in today’s world.
After several emails and a detailed plan, Lucky Comics was able to secure the rights for the characters of Olive Hawthorne, Bok, and Azal for a series of comic books. The characters needed to be written with utmost care and respect to honour the characters, so they searched for a writer that would fit the project perfectly. James Hudnall wrote the FCBD issue, and working with Keith Barnfather, had sent Lucky Comics a rough outline for issue #2 when he died tragically and very suddenly on April 9th, 2019.
