Warning – spoilers ahead for this week’s episode of the CW’s Batwoman.

Season 2 of Batwoman has been a lot about the disappearance of Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane, and her replacement as Batwoman by Jacivia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder. However, the producers held a card up their sleeves – and in the best traditions of soap operas, Kate Kane is back… but played by a new actor.

In “Survived, Much Worse,” aired on the CW on March 21, Krypton star Wallis Day takes over the role of Kate – but not Batwoman, who will remain Ryan – who has been seriously injured in the accident and is being held hostage.
