Warner Bros, are working with DC and Chernin Films on an adaptation of the comic Hourman.

Originally created in 1940, the character has had several incarnations but at present it’s not been confirmed which Gavin James and Neil Widener’s script will focus on. Chemist Rex Tyler was the original, and was the centre of a proposed CW series back in 2013; the character uses a synthetic drug, Miraclo, to give him superhuman powers for just one hour.

Rex Tyler has appeared in Legends of Tomorrow played by Patrick J. Adams; the character turned up in Stargirl played by Lou Ferrigno Jr. and his son Rex – also an Hourman – by Cameron Gellman.
