The True Lies TV pilot is getting some extra time to prepare, after CBS pushed it “off-cycle”.

This doesn’t mean that the pilot is cancelled – THR notes that the intention is still to film it over the summer – but it’s not going to feature at the start of what the networks are hoping is a far more normal TV season for 2021/22, after the pandemic-caused delays and cancellations of the last year.

Burn Notice/The Gifted’s Matt Nix is writing the pilot based on the James Cameron 1994 movie; McG is still attached to direct.
