Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

We’re going to see some more of Cat Grant in the final season of Supergirl – but not the contemporary version played by Calista Flockhart in the early days of the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Eliza Helm will be playing a young Cat Grant in flashbacks in episodes 5 and 6 of Supergirl’s sixth year. At this point, Grant is “eager to step out of Lois Lane’s shadow and out from under her boss, Perry White’s thumb”. A lead in Midvale doesn’t pan out as expected and thus “put her on the trajectory toward the Media Powerhouse we know and love as Cat Grant.”

Supergirl returns on March 30 on the CW.
