Colm Feore is starring in the post-apocalyptic Western Six Guns for Hire, which has just started filming in Toronto.
Variety reports that The Umbrella Academy star will appear alongside Maurice Dean Wint, Oyin Oladejo, and Patrick Kwok-Choon. This is the third such film he’s made for writer/co-director Matt Campagna – after the similarly-set but otherwise unconnected Six Reasons Why in 2008 and Six Days to Die last year.
The movie is written and directed by Matt Campagna and deals with a vicious group of strangers who gather to divvy up the spoils of a train robbery, while an ace detective pursues hot on their trail. As the bandits realize they may not be strangers after all, the detective unearths a deadly conspiracy at the heart of their crime.
“We’re very fortunate to be able to continue making films in such challenging times,” said co-director Melissa D’Agostino and Campagna in a statement. “Our past experience in VFX and working with greenscreen kept us in production by leading us to create a unique COVID shooting plan to keep all cast and crew safe. The circumstances of the pandemic have brought about opportunities to innovate, and we’re thrilled to bring back the original cast, as well as work with new actors on the latest story.”
